The Privacy Guarantor has implemented a European directive that requires web page administrators to show visitors a banner that informs them of the cookie policy of the site they are consulting and to make its acceptance conditional on continuing navigation.
Cookies are small text files that the sites visited by users send to their terminals, where they are stored before being re-transmitted to the same sites on the next visit. The cookies of the so-called “third parties” are, instead, set by a website other than the one the user is visiting. This is because on each site there may be elements (images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains, etc.) that reside on servers other than that of the site visited.
Cookies are used for different purposes: performing computer authentication, monitoring sessions, storing information on specific configurations regarding users who access the server, storing preferences, etc.
ShinyStat
The Privacy Policy of the ShinyStat counter does not provide for the identification of the visitor in any way.
The website www.egalnetsoftwares.com uses the ShinyStat Web Analytics system that does not store data for subsequent re-elaboration, but processes them in real time producing output in aggregate and totally anonymous form for the sole purpose of providing quantitative information regarding visits and visitor paths through the website, in compliance with Italian regulations on the protection of the privacy of navigators.
As regards the personal data in the possession of Shiny, these are collected directly from the interested party, while the navigation data of the sites that use the “ShinyStat™ Free” and “free services” services are processed through the operating code positioned on the sites themselves.
All data collected will obviously be treated confidentially and in compliance with current legislation.
Shiny undertakes to process personal data lawfully and correctly; to collect and record them for specific, explicit and legitimate purposes and to use them in other processing operations in terms that are not incompatible with such purposes.
It also undertakes to ensure that they are updated, pertinent, complete and not excessive with respect to the purposes for which they are collected or subsequently processed and to store them in a form that allows the identification of the interested party for a period of time not exceeding that necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or subsequently processed.
We would like to point out that Shiny does not process data defined by Legislative Decree 30 June 2003 n° 196 as “sensitive”.
Art. 4, paragraph 1 letter d) of Legislative Decree 30 June 2003 n° 196 defines “sensitive” data as personal data capable of revealing racial and ethnic origin, religious, philosophical or other beliefs, political opinions, membership of parties, trade unions, associations or organizations of a religious, philosophical, political or trade union nature, as well as personal data capable of revealing the state of health and sexual life.
Such data may be processed only with the written consent of the interested party and subject to authorization by the Guarantor, in compliance with the conditions and limits established by Legislative Decree 30 June 2003 n° 196, as well as by law and regulations.
The technology developed by Shiny allows to detect the flow of accesses to the website, which uses the ShinyStat analytics system without the use of tools that allow the personal identification of individuals since ShinyStat anonymizes all the data and aggregates them in the various reports without maintaining on its servers any complete log or complete IP address or any other element that can directly lead back to the identity of the individual who browses the site.
The methodology used for data collection is, in fact, able to provide only information regarding the country of origin, the characteristics of the browser and operating system used by the visitor, the various temporal connotations of the visit (for example the time spent on each page) and the details relating to the itinerary followed within the site with particular reference to the sequence of pages consulted.
It is in no way possible to trace the identity of the VISITOR as the surveys are carried out in real time. All the data collected are stored on Shiny servers in aggregate form only.

Useful definitions for understanding the Privacy legislation.
The VISITOR is the person who, while surfing the Internet, independently makes, through his/her own
or browser, the request for a site page on which the ShinyStat HTML code is inserted.
The USER is the person who uses the ShinyStat service in the free or paid version to analyze visits to their site.
The COOKIE is the unique numeric code randomly assigned to the VISITOR’s browser during each session of visiting the website. The VISITOR himself, in accordance with the law, has the right to disable this function, effectively preventing the aforementioned assignment operation.

Possibility and procedure for exclusion from aggregate statistical surveys: so-called OPT-OUT.
If the user wishes to make the navigation data processed by Shiny undetectable, he/she can opt-out by clicking on the link below: opt-out_free
For those who opt-out, ShinyStat™ will not collect any statistical data regarding navigation. If the user uses different browsers or devices to access the Internet Sites (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.), it is necessary to opt-out for each browser on each device for which you wish to deactivate the analytics cookies released by ShinyStat™.
With regard to these cookies, we specify that the ShinyStat™ analytics systems have a mechanism for anonymizing the IP address and aggregating data relating to the log file. The anonymization mechanism allows you to avoid requesting prior consent from users (so-called “Short Notice”) to install cookies, since these are cookies with exclusively statistical purposes for site optimization (and not for profiling or marketing), which do not allow in any way to trace the identity of the individual visitor, as indicated in the general provision (web doc. n. 3118884) of the Guarantor for the protection of personal data, published in the Official Journal n. 126 of 3 June 2014, register of provisions n. 229 of 8 May 2014 on Cookies, containing “Identification of simplified procedures for the information and acquisition of consent for the use of cookies”.
In this case, the so-called “analytics” cookies are used only and exclusively to collect information in aggregate and anonymous form on the number of users and how they visit the website.
In any case, the site manager is required to appropriately update the pages of its website dedicated to the privacy and cookie policy, specifying that third-party analytics cookies released by Shiny are installed on the site to collect data on user navigation only and exclusively in anonymous and aggregate form, indicating the link to this information provided pursuant to art. 13 of the Code on this page: informativa_privacy_generale_free and specifying that the visitor can prevent the storage of cookies by appropriately modifying the settings of their browser or by clicking on the appropriate link to activate the opt-out (indicated on this page).
